VMAC Forum: Made to Move — Louise PauVMAC Forum:
The VMAC Forum series, Made to Move, focuses on Hong Kong animators, aiming to understand their creative practices. In an era where generated images become prevalent, the series seeks to record the current state of local animation production and explore their perspectives on and use of media technology. Through a virtual tour, conversations unfold around the animators’ computer desktops–covering application tools, early experiments, and finished works–to gradually examine their interpretation and extended practices related to animation.
The first edition will invite Louise Pau to share her moving image-making experiences. Having received undergraduate training in film, Louise later shifted her focus to experimental animation and has become a full-time animator. How have her experiences in both filmmaking and experimental animation influenced her creative path? What are her sources of inspiration? How does she initiate and realise her projects? And what are the differences between her commercial animation works and her personal creations?
VMAC Forum
