Chungking Detour is an imaginary travelogue about Chungking, reconstructing a narrative by deconstructing the documentation of the tour. Starting from the observations of Chungking with the approach of Flâneur, I documented the process through the lens of my Video-8 camera. By employing the correlative thinking model, I remapped the state of tripping into a remix of original footages with readymade texts, audios, videos and images. The video attempts to guide the audience dreaming in a docu-fictional journey.
