The frame of the classical Chinese windows were filled up with wooden blocks which were then made use for building a pseudio-architectural model. The making of this “townscape” is out of the changing light,darkness of the “windowscape”.

A video covering the whole process including the interaction between the artist and those who run into the scene is projected underneath the wooden model.

LEUNG Chi Wo was born in Hong Kong. He graduated with an MFA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997 after studying photography at Istituto per lo Sviluppo Socio-Economico dello Spilimberghese (now Centro di Ricerca e Archiviazione della Fotografia) in Italy and an internship in the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst (now Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst)  in Ghent, Belgium. He has exhibited internationally, and in 2000, he held a solo exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art, New York. Awards received include the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship (1997) and Urban Council Award of the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial (1996). In 2001, his site-specific project was exhibited in the Hong Kong Pavilion in the Venice Biennale.
