I’m Coming Up
In what might be considered a durational cinematic gesture, I’m Coming Up is a filmic ascent of an entire public housing complex in Singapore, performed in a single
take. As the camera grinds through the building’s corridors and passes one apartment after another, each indistinguishable from the last, the incessant and oppressive homogeneity of the building’s character is laid bare.
