Life and death are two extremes. Life and death are two different worlds. But life and death exist in the same dimension. Birdman is the protagonist of the film, strives to climb the ladder. It unwillingly has its left being stolen and falls into my hand. The cross-dimension makes the Birdman falling into the fatal trap.

SHUM Wing Man, Viola received a BA in School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. She is currently pursuing her M. Phil. Studies in the same school. In 2002, she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Center for Advance Digital Applications of the New York University, NYC. Her works were selected to show in Microwave International Media Art Festival 2000 and Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival 2001. Her animation work, The Edge, was screened at the 6th Seoul Fringe Festival 2003, Tabor Film Festival and Cine Trive (Osaka, 2003). She also received the Award of Best Sound in the 1st Annual Inter-Chinese University Film and TV Festival 2002, and Bronze Award in Animation category of The 8th Hong Kong Independent Short Film & Video Awards 2002.
