The movable sound installation titled “Fortune Phone Booth” (《命運電話亭》) premiered during the Chinese Ghost Festival in 2015 at the “GhostWalk” (「與它同行」) art event in Central Hong Kong. This artwork replicated the exact dimensions of phone booths commonly found on Hong Kong street corners. Constructed primarily from bamboo and paper, its handset was modified from an old home telephone.

An electronic interactive device installed inside the booth caused it to ring intermittently until someone picked up the receiver. The receiver connected to a hidden mobile phone within the installation, which was linked to another mobile phone placed in a cemetery in a different district of Hong Kong. When answered, the caller would be connected to the cemetery site. Handwritten instructions inside the booth guided participants to greet the departed and seek divination about their fortunes.

Following its initial exhibition, the installation was relocated to the Fringe Club in Central. After the Ghost Festival celebrations concluded, this mobile phone booth was paraded through Central’s bustling streets—winding through the chaotic expatriate bar district—before reaching a shadowy alley corner in Sheung Wan, where it was ceremonially burned to ashes on the spot.

《命運電話亭》最初首展於2015年盂蘭節期間於香港中環舉行的「與它同行」藝術活動。藝術品以真實尺寸復刻香港街角常見的電話亭，選用竹材與紙張構築主體，而聽筒由舊式家用電話改裝而成。電話亭內部裝設一程序編寫的互動裝置，使其每隔一段時間便開始持續鳴響，直至有人提起聽筒應答。聽筒接通裝置暗藏的一部行動電話，與香港另一區墳場內放置的一部流動電話相互連通。因此拿起電話的人便跟墳場接通對話，而電話亭內有一張手寫的指示，引導參與者跟先人問好，詢問運程。

裝置其後移至中環藝穗會展出，而在盂蘭節慶典活動結束後，此流動電話亭以巡遊式被帶過中環區的繁華街道、走過洋人繁雜的酒吧街，最後到達上環一幽暗街角，當即焚燒化為灰燼。
