Duncan is a native of Hong Kong and used to work in information technology in financial institutions. In the past, he participated in the creation of videos and installation art. In recent years, he has focused more on black and white photography, capturing urban images.

His early works were conceptual in nature, paying particular attention to the experience of audiences impacted by media, including pop culture and music videos. Some of his works used low-tech creative methods in the hope of exploring different possibilities.

His works have won awards and been published at Hong Kong Independent Video Awards and IFVA.

黃卓生是土生土長的香港人，曾在金融機構從事資訊科技工作。過去參與影片及装置藝術創作，近年比䡋較專注黑白攝影，拍攝城市影像。

他的早期影片作品偏重概念性，尤其留意媒界對於觀眾產生的體驗，包括流行文化和音樂錄像，部分作品用上低科技創作方法， 希望探索不同的可能性。

作品曾在香港自主錄像比賽和IFVA中獲獎及發表。
