Tung Wing-hong (b. 1989) has focused on new media and kinetic installation since receiving his Master of Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2014. His works combine art and technology to present unique and humane new media creations. Tung was given the Award for Young Artist (Media Arts) at the 18th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards in 2024. He has participated in multiple exhibitions for art and technology, including ProjectPlayaround Showcase: FIRSTAGE, Sensory Transcode—Arts . Tech exhibition, Nevertheless, History Continues media arts exhibition, and Algorithmic Art: Shuffling Space and Time, and has been commissioned to create works for exhibitions such as the 2022 Hong Kong—Macao Visual Art Biennale, Hi! Flora, Fauna and Before After. Recently, he has crossed over into theatre with kinetic sculptures in We are for Real.
