Videotage is recruiting a Netherlands-based designer / maker / observer to participate in a digital culture residency in Hong Kong in Spring 2026.

Co-organised by Creative Industries Fund NL with Videotage, selected participants will be in residence for two or three months at Videotage’s studio space. They will have the space to conduct research, broaden their network, and develop new work focusing on social and urban dynamics in Hong Kong.

Participants will have a chance to explore new areas of work, widen their creative practice, and produce work that pushes the boundaries of digital culture. The 2026 edition takes the concept of liminal space as a starting point and invites participants to explore this theme within the context of the residency.

Please indicate your preferred period in your application. Depending on their work period, the selected artist will receive €5,000 for 2 months or €6,500 for 3 months from Creative Industries Fund NL to cover travel costs, living expenses, compensation for time invested, and material and transportation costs. The costs for accommodation, use of the studio space and facilitation by Videotage will be directly covered by the Fund.
