Micromégas is a media art residency organised by cneai= and Videotage in partnership with HART HAUS, with the support of the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau. Designed as a recurring programme since 2021, the residency features an annual theme to foster deeper cultural exchange between France and Hong Kong.
With the focus on the intersection of body and technology, 2026’s edition will bring together two artists for a cross-cultural exchange between Paris and Hong Kong to explore how technologies shape perception and embodiment.
We are recruiting a French-based artist to undertake a three-week residency at HART HAUS in Hong Kong with research support from Videotage. The artist will stay in from around 23 November to 13 December and receive €1200 as the residency grant. The organisers will support the artist’s round trip airfare between Paris and Hong Kong, their accommodation in Hong Kong, visa application fee (if any), and will provide a production budget of €150.
After that, the artist will have15 days to one month of support from the cneai= team at La Maison Fleuve (L’Île-Saint-Denis) to realise work for the 2027 exhibition.
The Hong Kong-based artist, Angela Su, whose practice investigates bodily perception through metamorphosis, hybridity, and transformation, will take part in a one-month residency hosted by cneai= in Paris.
