YEUNG Kitman
biography /
Kitman Yeung (b. Hong Kong) is an interdisciplinary artist based between Germany and Australia. Their work investigates systems of displacement through video essay, collage, and temporary public installations. Operating at the intersection of socio-political analysis and poetic formalism, they employ these mediums to dissect themes of migration, collective anxiety, and the dissonance between lived reality and imposed narratives. Their practice consistently questions how images, spaces, and stories are circulated and controlled, proposing forms of collective re-imagination through a research methodology informed by their background in neuroscience.
A graduate of the MFA in Public Art at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, they co-founded the food-art research collective groundtable. The collective is dedicated to developing collaborative public installations that bridge conceptual depth with participatory engagement.
