Moira McIver lectures on the BA Honours Fine Art Course in Belfast School of Art.

McIver has exhibited nationally and internationally, including group exhibitions such as Warworks, Women, Photography and the Art of War curated by Val Williams in 1995 in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Her artwork was also included in the National Photography Collection Inaugural exhibition, Dublin in 2022.

McIver’s artwork has been included in international touring exhibitions in the UK, USA, Canada, Denmark and the Netherlands. She has worked on several site-specific Public Artworks such as Television Southwest Arts in Derry. She has been involved in creating several site-specific artworks for locations in N.Ireland such as the Ulster Hospital, Maternity Unit, Belfast. In 2021 she undertook an artist’s exchange residency with Street Level Photography Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland researching women’s experience of migration between Ireland and Scotland in the post 2nd world war period. In 2023 she had a subsequent solo exhibition entitled Migration Memories in Street Level Photoworks gallery in Glasgow and in An Gailearaí in Donegal, Ireland. Her photography is included in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and The Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds, the Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds and the Irish National photography collection, Dublin.
