HUI Wai-Keung許維強

Hui Wai-Keung is a Hong Kong-born artist whose practice spans video game art, machinima, and algorithmic art. His works have been exhibited internationally, including selections for Milan Machinima Festival, ifva Awards, Athens Video Art Festival, and 404 Festival, as well as exhibitions at Tokyo Arts and Space, VGA Gallery, and the Busan Museum of Art. He has also participated in artist-in-residency programs across Europe and Asia, such as ARCUS Project in Japan. Hui received his MFA from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, and studied at the Hong Kong Art School. He is currently living in Taiwan, pursuing his PhD in Art Creation and Theory at Tainan National University of the Arts. His research focuses on the art practice of re-enacting and re-playing historical events.
許維強生於香港,近年專注創作電子遊戲藝術、機造影片和演算藝術。其作品曾於世界不同地方展出,包括入選米蘭Machinima藝術節、香港獨立短片及影像媒體節、雅典影像藝術節、以及404國際電子藝術節;並曾在Tokyo Arts and Space、芝加哥VGA畫廊、以及釜山美術館等藝術空間展出。
另外,許氏也曾參與歐洲與亞洲的駐村計劃,包括日本ARCUS駐村計劃。許氏曾就讀香港藝術學院及於香港城市大學創意媒體學院修畢碩士課程。他現居台灣,就讀國立臺南藝術大學藝術創作理論研究所博士班,研究重演和重玩歷史事件的美學課題。
