FAN Yuk-man was born in Hong Kong. Her first video I am 17 years old in 1997 won the Gold Award of Youth Category of Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards 1997. She was also awards the Best Potential Videographer by the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards 1998. She participated in My First Time – A theatre performance presented by Zuni Icosahedron at Oil Street in 1999.
