Art in Blink - An education program alongside with Louis Vuitton: A passion for Creation

In order to promote interest and understanding in media art, Videotage is organizing a public education program ‘Art in Blink’ as a side event of the ‘Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation’ exhibition. A series of events including free visit to the exhibition with guided tour, lectures and workshops will be held during the month of July. From appreciation to practice, this program will be a platform for discussing and sharing of ideas, also to nurture creativity and promote critical thinking in media art.

For the lectures and workshops, we have invited Ms. County Tam (Programme Coordinator, Higher Diploma in Media Art, Hong Kong Art School) and Mr. Keith Lam (New Media Artist) to lead the participants to first understand the genre of media art, then further develop their interest by practicing.

當藝術遇上電子和科技，會引發出的是一個個迷思，反思還是混雜的錯視？講座展示當下各新媒體藝術家之各類狂想，從他們的作品窺探新媒體藝術之迷人。

由破壞開始創作，從拆毀進行建設。工作坊延續講座的主題，學員會從一系列破壞電子用品的行為中進行創作。從破壞開始，了解媒體的結構，運用媒體的特性，反思媒體和介面的可能，再由拆散的零件堆中從新建立，進行電子媒體藝術創作。
