World-renowned multimedia artist Antoni Muntadas’ Master Lecture in Hong Kong will be held on Thursday, 6 April 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Future Cinema Studio, presented by Videotage and supported by Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Arts Development Council and School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.

In this Hong Kong presentation, Muntadas will show recent works such as About Academia, The Construction of Fear, and Asian Protocols, among others.

The lecture is conducted in English.

國際著名多媒體藝術家安東尼·蒙塔達斯首個香港大師講座將於2023年4月6日 (星期四）晚上6時30分在香港城市大學創意媒體學院的未來電影工作室舉行！是次演講由錄映太奇主辦，獲西班牙駐香港總領事館、香港藝術發展局以及香港城市大學創意媒體學院的支持。

蒙塔達斯將分享近年的計劃和作品，如《關於學術界》(About Academia) 、《恐懼的構建》(The Construction of Fear) 、《亞洲禮議》（Asian Protocols）等。

以英語進行。

About the artist:

Antoni Muntadas (Barcelona, 1942) works on social, political and communication topics, the relationship between public and private space within a social context, and investigates the information channels and the way they are used for censoring information or propagating ideas. He also works on projects in different media such as photography, video, publications, Internet, multimedia installations in specific architectural spaces and interventions in urban spaces.

Since 1995 Muntadas has been gathering a series of works and projects under the title On Translation. These works are diverse in content, dimensions and materials, and all revolve around a personal experience of the author over more than forty years of activity as an artist in numerous countries. By gathering the works under this title, Muntadas situates them within a body of experiences and specific concerns about communication, the culture of our time and the role of the artist and art in contemporary society.

安東尼·蒙塔達斯（巴塞隆拿，1942 年）的作品關注社會、政治和傳播議題，以及社會脈絡下公共和私人空間之間的關係，並研究各種資訊渠道及其用於審查或傳播思想的方式。他亦從事不同媒體的項目，如攝影、錄像、出版物、互聯網、特定建築空間的多媒體裝置，以及城市空間的介入等。

自 1995 年起，蒙塔達斯投身製作一系列名為《翻譯》(On Translation) 的作品和計劃。這些作品的內容、維度和材料多元，全部圍繞他超過四十多年作為藝術家在許多國家進行活動的個人經歷展開。蒙塔達斯在這個標題下收集作品，將它們置於溝通、時代文化以及藝術家和藝術在當代社會中的角色的經驗和具體關注中。
