Pink Twins - Live in Hong Kong 2009! The much awaited acclaimed Finland electronic group Pink Twins is finally here. The Godfathers and pioneers of Finnish electronic music and video art – Pink Twins will be performing at Videotage on 29 July 2009 for the first time ever in Hong Kong!
The electro pioneers- Pink Twins (musicians and video artists, brothers Juha and Vesa Vehviläinen from Helsinki, Finland) started their vision of the future nearly twelve years ago. Using their particularly developed interactive software, Pink Twins build a tissue of connections between their sound work and their visual work, attempting to intimately join mundane fragments usually disjoint. Their concert is surprising chromatic combinations with strong sonic collusions which correspond to a deep need, with nothing superfluous. For this visit to Hong Kong, Pink Twins will provide not only a multimedia performance, but also an audiovisual synthesis of the arts- electronic sound landscapes, vibrating beats and abstract visuals that promise to delight their loyal army of fans.

芬蘭電子音樂和錄影藝術的先驅

萬眾期待，芬蘭電子音樂和錄像先驅Pink Twins將於2009年7月29日在錄映太奇舉行電子音樂會。

來自芬蘭赫爾辛基的Pink Twins由兩位著名的當代音樂家、程式員和錄影藝術家兄弟Juha和Vesa Vehviläinen所組成。自1997年樂隊成立以後，Pink Twins透過其天馬行空的想像力，將我們日常生活中的抽象圖像、聲音和感覺的片段支解再重組，並試圖在聽覺與視覺之間建立起親密的聯繫。Pink Twins以大膽的手法及對藝術的敏感觸覺，運用強烈的節拍及意想不到的色彩組合將視聽的新一面以多角度展現，並藉此進一步以聲音及影像感染每一位觀眾。

"There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the Pink Twins"

Since 1997 as video artists, programmers and electronics musicians actively, Pink Twins have played their music to audiences in Europe and Asia, in festivals, art spaces, clubs, churches and outdoor events, and displayed their video works on all continents. They work from fragments of images, sounds and sensations which our daily life is subjected to in order to break them down into small particles and reunite them once again in audacious constructions formed from chaos, pulverising and rendering them abstract, according to a unified artistic sensitivity.　Pink Twins have released five CDs and a double DVD compilation on their own label Pink Twins Media.

自1997年成立以來，Pink Twins運用了他們無限的想像力及熱誠，遊走於歐洲及亞洲不同國家，在各個藝術節、藝術空間、俱樂部、教會等舉辦多個室內或室外音樂會及放映會，用音樂及錄像跟來自世界各地的觀眾作深入交流。Pink Twins亦曾以自家品牌Pink Twins Media發行了5輯唱片及一套雙DVD特輯，收錄了自樂隊成立以來的各個珍貴作品。
