說起九龍城區，除了宋王臺、九龍城寨等之外，你會想起甚麼呢? 有想過平平無奇的街市、五金店、士多、巴士，甚至是每天遇見的主婦、報販也有其獨特有趣的一面嗎? 錄映太奇將於七月中與一班年輕人搞搞新意思, 從牛棚藝術村出發，逐一訪尋區內被遺忘的物件、人物與故事,以生動的藝術地圖製作方法, 將平凡的生活照、街市喧鬧聲、車聲、或自拍的得意錄像，以與別不同的嶄新藝術視角, 加上年青人無限的創意，拼貼成不平凡的藝術故事, 齊齊於今個盛夏玩轉九龍城。此活動的作品將會製作成小冊子於各區及海外派發, 本年尾更會舉辦作品展覽。

[Cattle Depot 101 - Media Art Workshop 'Mapping the City']

This summer, Videotage is organizing a workshop for young people called ‘Cattle Depot 101 - Mapping the City' from 20th to 28th of July.
In this workshop,we will rediscover the forgotten and the fading objects, events, people or places in Kowloon City. Young people will learn to use an interesting mapping methodology to visualize the relationship of those collected data. Instead of a usually 'dead' map, living maps will be produced to document the stories and history of the District and reflect the mobility of it. After the workshop, Videotage will produce a brochure and hold a mini exhibition describing the Cattle Depot Artist Village and the Kowloon City District based on the participants' ideas and input.
All teenagers are welcome to participate in this creative workshop. Details are as follows:

Venue: Videotage & Kowloon City District
Time: 10am to 6pm
Participants: teenagers aged between 12-24
Quota: 25 people/ session
Fee: FREE OF CHARGE (excluding transportation fee)

*Participants are only required to join 1 session and the workshop will be conducted in Cantonese.
